ARCH 

ARCH (formerly the AIDS Committee of Guelph & Wellington County), continues to respond to HIV and AIDS in our community. We also respond to the issue of Hepatitis C in our community. We assist individuals and communities to manage the social effects of HIV and Hepatitis C. ARCH collaborates with communities to deliver prevention and education programs to populations at-risk and we offer care and support to people living with HIV and Hepatitis C and those at risk. We support people living with HIV and AIDS and their families, friends and caregivers throughout the progression of the disease.


The City of Guelph

The city of Guelph is a vibrant community of over 120000 people situated in the heart of southern Ontario, just 100 km west of Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Out On The Shelf is very grateful to receive funding from the City of Guelph through its Guelph Wellbeing Grant program. Such funding is crucial to provide Guelph with a safe, non-judgmental and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

10 Carden is a community “hub” offering not for profit groups, social enterprises and individuals, affordable and accesible shared space. Access to the space is within a variety of membership packages tailored to suit individual needs. 10 Carden has a great store front across from the new City Hall and is perfect for Board meetings, large presentations (seating up to 70), as well as smaller scale meetings and working sessions of 5-6 people; as well as collaborative and individual work. Access to this prime location and shared equipment/ facilities will help smaller groups with capacity building and let them become more visible in the community.


Guelph Queer Equality (GQE)

Guelph Queer Equality provides a safe space and supportive environment for all people in the trans, bisexual, lesbian, and gay community. People of all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, ages, and abilities are welcome. Guelph Queer Equality events are not restricted to the University Community, they are open to people from the Guelph Community in general.


OUTline

OUTline is the University of Guelph’s resource and support service specializing in questions relating to sexual orientation and gender identity. The OUTline website was created to provide you with information about the services we offer and connect you to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, two-spirit, ally resources and support in Guelph and beyond.


Guelph Resource center for Gender Empowerment and Diversity (GRCGED)

We are a student funded, collectively run resource centre for people of all or no genders. We advocate anti-oppression issues within a feminist framework, recognizing that issues of gendered oppression consist of struggles against all systems of domination. We offer a relaxing, comfortable space where you can use our microwave and/or chat with our friendly volunteers and staff. We provide resources and support for students, staff, faculty and community members, who can use our extensive library, computers and other accessible technologies, buy traditional and alternative menstrual products, attend our workshops and other public events, or become a trained volunteer or collective member. If you are in crisis, you can also access peer support, referrals and a private room.


Rainbow Chorus

Rainbow Chorus is composed of mutually supportive people who have joined together for the purpose of the performance of the choral arts including a diverse repertoire.


CampOUT

CampOut is a student-driven support/social group that provides a safe space for students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Transsexual, Queer, Not-Straight; those who chose not to identify with a label; and/or those who are questioning their sexual orientation. The group meets on a weekly basis and we encourage those who attend to participate as little or as much as they like.


Egale Canada

Egale Canada is our national lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans (LGBT) human rights organization: advancing equality, diversity, education and justice.


PFlag Canada

PFLAG Canada is Canada’s only national organization that helps all Canadians with issues of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. PFLAG Canada supports, educates and provides resources to all individuals with questions or concerns, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Community Torchlight

We offer free, telephone-based listening, support, referral, seniors reassurance call-out and crisis assistance (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) by trained staff and volunteers. All calls are confidential. Unless requesting emergency services, you do not need to identify yourself or give any information which might identify your location.


Family and Child Services Guelph and Wellington County

Our agency is a caring network of staff, volunteers, foster families and adopting families. Together, we are committed to protecting children and supporting families in our community. We provide help and support services for families to ensure that children are protected from physical and emotional abuse or neglect. Our caring team offers client-focused programs and works with parents, youth and children toward one primary goal: ensuring the safety and well-being of children.


The Women's Health Alliance of Guelph-Wellington 

Our Vision: A community where women are able to access and receive medical and social services without facing barriers.

Key Objectives:

  • To ensure women in our community are receiving and have access to medical and social services needed to live as healthy as possible
  • To raise awareness in the community and provide education on issues women are facing
  • To address any barriers we may be facing in our own work when working with women
  • To identify any gaps in services specific to women in our community
