Queer Parents & Parenting Queer Kids

From the amazing blog, Black Girl Dangerous: Beyond Girls and Boys: Teaching Gender to My Kids: “I feel like this is completely uncharted territory. I am going to make mistakes. But I hope that although the arc of parenting is long, I will bend it towards justice.” -Anoosh Jorjorian

Cory Silverberg and Fiona Smyth have written a children’s book called What Makes a Baby that helps parents talk to their kids about pregnancy and adoption in ways that include many kinds of families. It also has a free handy reader’s guide to help parents talk to their kids about sexual intercourse, chosen and biological families, gender, sex, race, and (dis)ability.
