Out on the Shelf is an inclusive LGBTQ2+ library and resource centre that provides a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ2+ community and their allies.
Group Mandate: The Women’s Social network is a social group that operates under the non-profit organization Out on the Shelf. The group seeks to connect women-identified members of the LGBTQ2+ community in Guelph and its surrounding area. Members and participants must adhere to the group’s shared values. These values include respecting ourselves and others, practising confidentiality, being inclusive, friendly, and non-judgmental, being aware of the space and the time that we take up, and always keeping in mind that we can disagree but still get along. Participants should expect casual and light conversations, friendly faces, understanding, respect, and no pressure in a laid-back environment. We also welcome all participants to share their questions, suggestions, and feedback to the group page on Facebook, in a private message to either of the facilitators, or via a private conversation with either of them.
By participating in the group, you agree to adhere to this mandate. Participation includes in-person scheduled meetings and any interactions on the Women's Social Network Facebook group or the Out on the Shelf’s Facebook or Instagram pages.
